The Stewardship Commission is responsible for the finances of Westkirk. In addition to preparing the annual budget for the Congregational Meeting, the commission provides monthly updates to each of the Commissions and the Session.
This commission is also responsible for the Memorial Committee. This committee, chaired by Aaron Pieper, Assistant Treasurer, determines needs for the church and coordinates the needs with family memorials. If you have a suggestion for a specific memorial, please contact Aaron.
Another responsibility of this commission is the Personnel Committee. This committee is composed of the Commission chair, Chuck Heitbrink, treasurer, Chris Brown, and Elder, Gary Robinson. This committee reviews the Pastor and assists the Pastor with staff reviews. Prior to budget approval by the Session, this committee meets and determines salary recommendations.
At the end of the year the Assistant Treasurer prepares the annual statement of giving. The amount given by each member is only known to him, the Treasurer and to God. Members wishing to have a mid-year or quarterly statement should contact Aaron Pieper.
